David Bouchard
Author
Originally from the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, acclaimed Métis raconteur David Bouchard has written over sixty books, which have been published in a number of languages including English, French, Cree, Kwak’wala, Ojibway, and Inuktitut. He is a Member of the Order of Canada and is the recipient of several awards, notably the 2008 Gold Medal Moonbeam Award for I am Raven, the 2004 Governor General’s Award for The Song Within My Heart, and the 1997 Lee Bennett Hopkins Poetry Award for Voices from the Wild. He lives in Victoria, British Columbia, with his wife, Vicki.
